Okay, when a couple tells me that they’re walking into their reception to Drakes ‘started from the bottom’ I know it’s meant to be.
Please enjoy these photos, I hope you can feel the excitement, and love that surrounded these two!
These two are getting married!! We met for a quick session at the Muttart while the sun was setting, and all I have to say is WOW! I can’t get over how sexy the sunsets are in Edmonton, what a beautiful city we live in.
When we arrived at Paige’s family acreage it was calm, inside and out. The yard was immaculately groomed by Paige’s mother, and the handmade details were abounding! We decided to hang the dress in the ceremony alter, and found an adorable bench to place the bouquet on.
Inside the girls were having their hair and makeup done, drinking champagne, and playing with the most adorable dog that has ever lived!
It has been absolute TORTURE keeping this a secret!!!!!
Earlier this spring a group of amazing vendors got together at Elk Island at dusk to put together a ‘mock wedding’. Now, this is no easy feat. The amount of work that went into this shoot was monumental, and I have never been more proud to be a part of something so incredible with such outstanding business owners.
We’re over the moon excited that the famous blog The Perfect Palette decided to feature us today, you can see their version here!
I hope you enjoy the images, because I am in love with them – and I also hope that it inspires your wedding. We wanted to highlight the idea of having a beach wedding in Alberta, something that most people don’t even consider since we’re fairly landlocked 😉
Here’s a behind the scenes video from the shoot as well: https://vimeo.com/167663941
The air in the room was calm when I walked in, Jessica was relaxed, and her bridesmaids were giddy with excitement for the day to begin. We took the dress outside to hang in a tree near the gorgeous wheat field. In the background family and friends were setting up their camper trailers for the weekend, oh yeah, it’s most definitely a small-town wedding.
